Accountability is the obligation or willingness to take responsibility for one’s actions. Employees must take ownership of the work they are assigned. Must establish activities, and procedures, do what is best for the organization and be accountable for results. Once the authority is accepted with responsibility – one must make oneself responsible for the performance of assigned duties.
Everyone wants to do well. Failure to perform is accountability. If you fail to do something on time – then you have not done your duty. সবাই ভাল কাজ করতে চায় । কাজ সম্পাদনে ব্যর্থতা হল জবাবদিহিতা। আপনি যদি সময়মতো কোনও কাজ করতে ব্যর্থ হন- তবে আপনি নিজের দায়িত্ব পালন করেননি।
Ways to learn accountability at work:
You are also responsible for using the authority given by the manager. Remember – accountability is not punishment. It is a willingness to accept responsibility for your own actions. Accountability isn’t about getting revenge on someone—who failed to meet your expectations—it’s about learning a lesson. Instead of asking others- ask yourself: How did I let this happen? How did it happen? How could it be better? You will then be able to learn and tell the truth about accountability issues and barriers.
Example: When an employee admits a mistake he made on a project – it’s for accountability.
জবাবদিহিতা হল নিজের কাজের দায়িত্ব নেওয়ার বাধ্যবাধকতা বা ইচ্ছা। কর্মীদের তাদের দেওয়া কাজের মালিকানা নিতে হবে। কার্যক্রম, পদ্ধতি স্থাপন, সংস্থার জন্য যা সেরা তা করতে এবং ফলাফলের জন্য দায়বদ্ধ থাকা আবশ্যক । দায়িত্বের সাথে কর্তৃত্বটি একবার গ্রহণ করলে- নিজেকে নির্ধারিত দায়িত্ব পালনের জন্য দায়বদ্ধ করতে হবে ।
কর্মক্ষেত্রে জবাবদিহিতা শিখার উপায়:
ম্যানেজার দেওয়া কর্তৃত্ব ব্যবহারের জন্যও আপনি দায়বদ্ধ। মনে রাখবেন- জবাবদিহিতা কোন শাস্তি নয়। এটি আপনার নিজের ক্রিয়াকলাপের জন্য দায় স্বীকার করার ইচ্ছা। জবাবদিহিতা কারও বিরুদ্ধে প্রতিশোধ নেওয়ার বিষয় নয় – যিনি আপনার প্রত্যাশা পূরণে ব্যর্থ হয়েছেন- এটি পাঠ শেখার বিষয়ে। অন্যকে জিজ্ঞাসা করার পরিবর্তে- নিজেকে জিজ্ঞাসা করুন: আমি কীভাবে এটি হতে দিলাম? এটি কীভাবে হয়েছিল? কীভাবে আরও ভাল করা যেত? তারপরে – আপনি জবাবদিহিতার সমস্যা এবং বাধাগুলি সম্পর্কে সত্য জানতে এবং বলতে সক্ষম হবেন।
উদাহরণ: যখন একজন কর্মচারী একটি প্রকল্পে তার করা ত্রুটি স্বীকার করেন- এটি জবাবদিহিতার জন্য।
