Commitment – Controlled, unmotivated action to do something in a critical situation. Commitment means – you must do it. Commitment requires focus and concentration – a willingness to take the next step – faith – which accelerates forward momentum and ultimate success.
Time to Ask for Commitment:
Commitment means asking about people’s views and feelings and being prepared to negotiate with them to reach an appropriate outcome. The situation needs to be properly explained and reasoned for making the commitment. Example: Manager asks a salesperson to sell more products on behalf of other salespersons, enabling the team to meet monthly targets. To increase the volume – he asks to get a commitment – how much more do you think you can sell? Say no – you need to sell 10 more products per day. Because he can sell more than 10 products per day. Commitment is high in salespeople and allows productivity.

প্রতিশ্রুতিবদ্ধতা অর্থ- ব্যক্তির দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি এবং অনুভূতি জিজ্ঞাসা করা এবং উপযুক্ত ফলাফল পৌঁছানোর জন্য তাদের সাথে আলোচনা করার জন্য প্রস্তুত থাকা। প্রতিশ্রুতিবদ্ধতা নেওয়ার জন্য পরিস্থিতিটি সঠিকভাবে ব্যাখ্যা করা এবং কারণ দেওয়া প্রয়োজন। উদাহরণ: ব্যবস্থাপক একজন বিক্রয়কর্মীকে অন্যান্য বিক্রয়কর্মীদের পক্ষে আরও কিছু পণ্য বিক্রয় করতে বলেন, যা দলের মাসিক লক্ষ্য পূরণ করতে সক্ষম করে। পরিমাণ বাড়ানোর জন্য – তিনি প্রতিশ্রুতি পেতে জিজ্ঞাসা করেন- আপনি আরও কতটা বিক্রি করতে পারবেন বলে মনে করেন? বলেন না- আপনাকে প্রতিদিন আরও ১০ টি পণ্য বিক্রি করতে হবে। কারণ সে প্রতিদিন ১০ টির বেশি পণ্য বিক্রি করতেও পারে। প্রতিশ্রুতি বিক্রয়কর্মীদের উচ্চ উত্পাদনশীলতার মঞ্জুরি দেয়।
