Arrogance is a way of masking insecurities and low self-esteem. Arrogance increases a person’s sense of superiority – which increases his/her aggressiveness – pride, status and power – while putting others down. Low self-esteem, constant fear and feelings of insecurity make someone arrogant.
Causes to become Arrogance:
“I’m always right” – attitude and behavior makes someone arrogant.
Excessive desire for praise and approval from others makes a person arrogant.
Fear of admitting mistakes and criticism – Inability to see the strengths of competitors makes the person arrogant.
Misconceptions about others make a person arrogant.
Negative childhood experiences make a person arrogant.
Arrogance comes from a person’s lack of self-awareness.
Self-centered attitude, constantly talking about one’s achievements – encourages the person to become arrogant.
অহংকার নিরাপত্তাহীনতা এবং কম আত্মসম্মানকে মুখোশ করার উপায়। অহংকার ব্যক্তির শ্রেষ্ঠত্বের অনুভূতি বাড়ায় – যা তার আক্রমণাত্মক মনোভাব- গর্ব, পদমর্যাদা এবং ক্ষমতা বাড়ায়- একই সাথে অন্যদের নিচে ঠেলে দেয়। কম আত্মসম্মান, ক্রমাগত ভয় এবং নিরাপত্তাহীনতার অনুভূতি কাউকে অহংকারী করে তোলে।
অহংকারী হওয়ার কারণঃ
“আমি সবসময় সঠিক” – মনোভাব এবং আচরণ কাউকে অহংকারী করে তোলে।
অন্যদের কাছ থেকে প্রশংসা এবং অনুমোদন পাওয়ার অত্যধিক ইচ্ছা ব্যাক্তিকে অহংকারী করে।
ভুল এবং সমালোচনা স্বীকার করতে ভয় – প্রতিযোগীদের শক্তি দেখতে অক্ষমতা ব্যাক্তিকে অহংকারী করে তোলে।
অন্যদের সম্পর্কে ভুল ধারণা ব্যাক্তিকে অহংকারী করে তোলে।
শৈশবকালের নেতিবাচক অভিজ্ঞতা ব্যাক্তিকে অহংকারী করে ।
অহংকার ব্যাক্তির আত্মসচেতনতার অভাব থেকে আসে।
