Follow is to take advantage of others – to assume the judgment of others – to act according to the dictates of others at the expense of one’s own intelligence, faith. Whereas, imitation is the copying of another person – the person imitates and uses as one’s own with some modifications. In my opinion – imitation is more beneficial than follow someone.
Reasons Why Imitation is Useful:
Imitation – acts of copying something – which is stimulated by the perception of another person. Imitation is also associated with empathy—because mimicking another person’s actions helps you feel their perspective.
Everyone learns by watching others and copying their actions. Imitation is one of the most important means of learning. Imitation skills are very important for skill development. Also good for your future progress.
Imitation helps to learn social norms – integrate into society and build social connections.
Imitation example:
The skill of making a room look like the one pictured in a decorator’s magazine.
Reasons Why Follow is Less Useful:
Follow – full loyalty to others, support of others – and attachment to other’s person’s trust. Not good for one’s future progress.
Follow encourages us to be flattered and has the potential to lose our identity.
When you follow someone – without using your intelligence, go behind them to find out where they are going, what they are doing.
Follower gives full loyalty and support to others. By associating himself/herself with other people’s beliefs – admiring, respecting, valuing others -s/ he consequently loses his/her own identity.
অনুসরণ করা হল অন্যের থেকে সুবিধা নেওয়া – অন্যের রায়কে ধারণ করা- নিজের বুদ্ধি, বিশ্বাস বিসর্জন দিয়ে অন্যের নির্দেশ অনুসারে কাজ করা। যেখানে , অনুকরণ হল অন্য ব্যক্তির অনুলিপি করা – ব্যক্তি অনুকরণ করে এবং কিছু পরিবর্তনের সাথে নিজের হিসাবে ব্যবহার করে। আমার মতে – কাউকে অনুসরণ করার চেয়ে অনুকরণ বেশি উপকারী।
যে কারণে অনুকরণ দরকারী:
অনুকরণ – কিছু অনুলিপি করার কাজ – যা অন্য ব্যক্তির উপলব্ধি দ্বারা উদ্দীপিত করে। অনুকরণ সহানুভূতির সাথেও যুক্ত- কারণ, অনুকরণ অন্য ব্যক্তির ক্রিয়ার প্রতিফলন আপনাকে তার দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি অনুভব করতে সহায়তা করে।
সবাই অন্যদের দেখে এবং তাদের ক্রিয়াকলাপ কপি করে শেখে। শেখার সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ উপায়গুলির মধ্যে অনুকরণ ভাল মাধ্যম। দক্ষতার বিকাশের জন্য অনুকরণ দক্ষতা অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। নিজের ভবিষ্যতের অগ্রগতির জন্যও ভাল।
অনুকরণ সামাজিক নিয়ম শিখতে- সমাজে একীভূত হতে এবং সামাজিক সংযোগ গড়ে তুলতে সাহায্য করে।
অনুকরণ উদাহরণ:
ডেকোরেটারের ম্যাগাজিনে চিত্রিত ঘরের মতো দেখতে একটি ঘর তৈরি করার দক্ষতা।
যে কারণে অনুসরণ কম দরকারী:
অনুসরণ – অন্যের প্রতি পূর্ণ আনুগত্য, অন্যের সমর্থন- এবং অন্যের ব্যক্তির বিশ্বাসের সাথে সংযুক্ত করে। নিজের ভবিষ্যতের অগ্রগতির জন্য ভাল নয়।
অনুসরণ আমাদের চাটুকার হতে উত্সাহিত করে এবং নিজের পরিচয় হারানোর সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে।
আপনি যখন কাউকে অনুসরণ করেন- আপনার বুদ্ধিমত্তা ব্যবহার না করেই, তার পিছনে চলে যান, সে কোথায় যাচ্ছে, কি করছে, তা খুঁজে বের করার জন্য।
অনুসারী অন্যের প্রতি পূর্ণ আনুগত্য এবং সমর্থন দেয়। নিজেকে অন্য ব্যক্তির বিশ্বাসের সাথে সংযুক্ত করে- অন্যের প্রশংসা করে, সম্মান করে, মূল্য দেয় – ফলসরূপ সে নিজের পরিচয় হারায়ে ফেলে।
অনুসরণের উদাহরণ:
বাংলাদেশিরা কোনো যুক্তি ছাড়াই তাদের নেতাদের অনুসরণ করতে ভালোবাসে।
