Commitment is the act of tying one’s intelligence and emotions to the progress of the activity. Keeping commitment builds trust in relationships. Breaking Commitments brings disaster in life. Without commitment, you may begin to think of yourself as dishonest—which lowers your self-esteem and effectiveness.
Ways to Keep Commitment:
Wanting to do something and then doing it makes you trustworthy – thus increasing the value of keeping your commitment to others.
Explain why you cannot commit to something. If there is a good reason for not keeping the commitment – (medical problems, accident, etc.) then share it with other parties as soon as possible. It is a common courtesy that increases commitment.
To assess commitment – if for some reason you can’t keep your commitment – don’t make up stories. Ask yourself why you couldn’t keep your word and never do it again.
প্রতিশ্রুতি ক্রিয়াকলাপের অগ্রগতির সাথে নিজের বুদ্ধিমত্তা এবং আবেগের সাথে আবদ্ধ করার কাজ। প্রতিশ্রুতি রাখলে সম্পর্কে আস্থা বাড়ে। প্রতিশ্রুতি ভঙ্গ করলে জীবনে বিপর্যয় আসে। প্রতিশ্রুতি ছাড়া নিজেকে অসাধু ব্যক্তি হিসাবে ভাবতে শুরু করতে পারেন- যা আপনার আত্মমর্যাদা এবং কার্যকারিতা হ্রাস করে।
প্রতিশ্রুতি বজায় রাখার উপায়:
কিছু করতে চেয়ে এবং তারপর সেটি করলে আপনি বিশ্বাসযোগ্য ব্যক্তি হয়ে উঠবেন – এইভাবে অন্যের কাছে আপনার প্রতিশ্রুতি রাখার জন্য মান বাড়বে।
প্রতিশ্রুতিবদ্ধ কিছু কেন করতে পারবেন না তা ব্যাখ্যা করুন। প্রতিশ্রুতি না রাখার জন্য যদি কোনও ভাল কারণ থাকে- (চিকিত্সার সমস্যা, দুর্ঘটনা ইত্যাদি)তবে যত তাড়াতাড়ি সম্ভব অন্যান্য পক্ষের সাথে ভাগ করুন। এটি সাধারণ সৌজন্য যা প্রতিশ্রুতি বাড়িয়ে দেয় ।
প্রতিশ্রুতি মূল্যায়ন করতে – কোনও কারণে যদি আপনার প্রতিশ্রুতি রাখতে না পারেন- তবে গল্প বানাবেন না। নিজেকে জিজ্ঞাসা করুন- আপনি নিজের কথাটি কেন রাখতে পারেননি এবং এটি আর কখনও করবেন না।
কাউকে আশা দেবেন না – যেটা আপনার সত্যিই সামর্থ্য নেই। আপনি যদি প্রতিশ্রুতিবদ্ধ হন – তবে তা রাখুন যাই হোক না কেন।
